Anne, from Raintree replied:
I teach children from 2 1/2 to 6, including several children with disabilities. I help train practicum students, and am involved in the IEP process as a team member for children in my class with disabilities.

Carolyn, from St. Ben's Infant/Toddler replied:
To assist USD 500 in any way possible.

Connie, from Raintree replied:
My role in working with the students with special needs is the same as with all the other children: to guide them along a path leading to their greatest possible potential. I am a member of a team working with that goal in mind for each child. There are just more meetings and paperwork with the children that are "included."

Darla, from Bright Futures replied:
I test the children referred for comprehensive evaluations, write the reports, and IEP's when they are in my classroom. I am responsible for monitoring their goals and objectives.

Jennifer, from White replied:
I am responsible for getting my lesson plans to the other team members a week in advance, so that we have the opportunity to plan together. I implement adaptations as they need to occur in the classroom.

Kikki, from Opportunity Preschool replied:
I help in the daily activities that are enabling our children involved in special education to reach their IEP goals. I also provide information to the parents and case managers of these children regarding their progress or any concerns/questions that I may have.

Michelle, from St. Ben's Infant/Toddler replied:
I help the special education teacher in whatever areas she needs me to help. If there are problems or concerns regarding a child, I refer them to her. I also make the child who may have problems feel comfortable and safe in their environment.

Missy, from St. Ben's Preschool replied:
I am a member of a TEAM (of four staff members in our classroom). I over see the overall makeup of the classroom.

Shannon, from Barkley replied:
I team teach with an early childhood special education teacher. We keep all our children together in one room. We act as one class with two teachers.
