After I finish eating, I'll get on the bus and go to grandma's. I always try not to take a nap, but I work hard at school so I usually fall asleep when Grandma reads me a book.

Hi! My name is Andy and I go to Bright Futures every day to play. I have lots of friends there and I love my teachers. I ride the bus to school since my mom works and grandma doesn't have a car to take me to school. After my teacher helps me put my backpack in my cubbie, I play by myself for a while, then I find my friend to look at a book with. picture of getting on the bus.

Breakfast is almost ready so I wash my hands and sit down to eat. Most of the time I like to eat what my teachers fix, but sometimes I don't. That's OK if I don't feel like eating, I just take a 'no thank you' helping. Sometimes it looks so good that I try it anyway. After we eat, we always brush our teeth. I used to need help, but now I can do it myself. picture of breakfast.

When I started coming to school last fall, it was really hard for me to sit still at circle so my teacher gave me something to play with. She said something about "grounding me" (an accomodation used where a large bean bag is used to give children a sense of their bosy and space) and a "legal fidget" (appropriate, and agreed upon, hand movements). Now I like to be at circle time. I tell the teacher about things and she tells me what she has for me to play with today. I get to play wherever I want for a long time. I work really hard. Sometimes I play with my friends, if I need help my teacher is always there when I ask.

I guess my favorite part of school is going outside to play. We have neat places to climb and swing, but my favorite thing is riding a bike on the bike track . Sometimes we have a car wash and get everything really clean. I like to get wet, too. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. If it's really hot out and the bikes are all busy, I can always play in the sand. It's cool and wet and shady. picture of the slide.

When I come back inside we play together, but not so many of us and my teacher tells me what group I will be with. Sometimes she plans the game, sometimes Renee (SLP) or Lana (SLP para) plays with us, sometimes Robbie (PT) plays with us, and sometimes Robyn (OT) plays with us. I work really hard in the games and they're fun, too.

If it's Tuesday (I learned Tuesday because we always swim on that day and I really like to swim) I would be swimming instead of being in a small group. I've learned about water safety, too. When I started swimming, it took a long time to get undressed and dressed but I'm lots faster now and I don't need very much help. I'm glad my teachers are there to help me and my friend's mother comes to help us, too. It takes lots of teachers to help all of us.

Music is lots of fun. I don't sing very much (my teacher says that's OK) but I sure like to dance to the music.

I've worked really hard today and I'm hungry. Yes! We're having tator tots today with catsup. Catsup's one of my favorite foods but I learned it's not in the food groups so I try not to use too much.

My friend, Kelly, lives next door to me and rides the bus every morning with me. But she doesn't ride home with me because she stays all day. Her mom works and there isn't anybody at home for her to stay with. So Kelly stays all day and takes a nap when I leave. I always have lots of fun at school. Come and see me and my friends and play with us or read a book. Bye!
