What is your educational background?
I have my bachelors in psychology, my M.S. in counseling/experimental psychology, my Ed.S. in school psychology, and am currently working on my Ph.D. in school psychology.

What other experiences, or staff development has prepared you for inclusion?
I'm well-versed in inclusion literature, as it is the focus of my doctoral dissertation.

What is your job role?
School psychologist, special education evaluations ages 3-12, behavioral consultant, preschool screening, coordinator, and some administrative duties.

What is your role regarding the inclusive component of the program?
I assist primarily as a consultant,indirectly working with children. I work as part of the preschool team to help plan educational programming and behavioral interventions.

How do teachers receive extra training?
In inclusion? Teachers have staff development funds to pursue any number of conferences in the region. Also to purchase any number of reference materials.

Do teachers help children with disabilities and typically developing peers become friends?
That is one of the primary focuses of the curriculum. It is a conscious and ongoing process.

How are parents of children with special needs included to participate and get involved with the school?
The school actively seeks parents to volunteer at the site, working with disabled and nondisabled children.
