9:00/12:30 Arrival: All teachers and paraprofessionals go out to meet the buses in front of the building and assist with getting the children safely off the buses and into the building.

9:10/12:40 Wash Hands: The children line up at the two sinks to wash their hands.

9:15/12:45 Breakfast/Lunch: The paraprofessionals will have the food on the tables, ready for the children to pass. The children find their places and sit down. We wait until all are seated to serve the food. All the children do as much as possible on their own. Most will be able to pour their own drink (the younger ones with a little guidance and serve themselves. The use of good table manners is encouraged. It is the goal of snack time to provide a nutritious snack in a calm environment. Conversation between the children and the teachers is important. At the end of snack, a teacher will help the toothbrush helper pass out the toothbrushes. Raffi's "Brush Your Teeth" is played at this time.

Link to a bigger picture of a morning activity 9:30/1:15 Circle Time: Always begin by playing Greg and Steve's "Good Morning" (a.m.) or "Hello" (p.m.). and continue by singing "Here We Are Together." The same songs and finger plays are used all week so that the children have the opportunity to learn the new vocabulary. During this time of day, certain children are targeted to work on their IEP objectives each day.

10:00/1:30 Plan, Do, Review: Once circle time is over the teacher will dismiss the children to go to their committee tables to plan for work time. A teacher or paraprofessional goes to each of the four tables. The children may tell, draw, write, or indicate their plan in some other way. The activity zones include:

10:55/2:25 Clean Up: A "helper" rings the bell to let the children know that clean up will begin in two minutes. The light helper will turn off the lights to let everyone know that it is clean up time. When the room is clean, the children return to their committee tables to review what they did during work time.

11:00/2:30 Committees: Four committee activities are planned for each day. The children always go to the same table and their activities will rotate over the four days.
