The lesson will introduce several facets of inclusion in a primary grade setting. You will see many images of children and adults interacting in an inclusive educational environment.

After completing this lesson you will be able to :

  • articulate many of the benefits of an inclusive educational setting and describe some of the benefits that parents appreciate.
  • describe how all children receive support and become full members of the classroom community.
  • define terms currently used in inclusive education.
  • After viewing the presentation you can complete the activity which consists of short answer questions regarding the vocabulary used to describe inclusive practices and the information conveyed by the presentation.
