After viewing the slide presentation, please complete the activity below which consists of short answer questions regarding the vocabulary used to describe inclusive practices and the information conveyed by the presentation.

A. The role of the peers as tutors and coaches is very important in inclusion. How would you describe peer relationship among the children in the slide?

B. Give an example of thematic unit instruction from your own experience or the slide.

C. Would you describe the classroom in the lesson as multi-age? Do you see any advantages to multi-age classrooms?

D. Explain the importance of flexible instructional arrangements in an inclusive classroom. Do you see it reflected in the slide?

E. IDEA places a lot of importance on LRE (Least Restrictive Environment). Would you classify the classroom in the slide as LRE? If yes, explain why?

F. There may be occasions when a child with an IEP requires one-to-one instruction. From your own experience or from the slide give an example of when/how you would use one-to-one instruction.

G. Is there a match between a child's learning style and teacher instruction in the slide?

H. The teachers in the slide use Cooperative learning groups as an instruction method. Describe the process.

I. When the speakers talk about the importance of teamwork and collaboration, between whom are they talking about?

J. Describe outcome-based instruction; with an example from you own experience with children.
